Material

Resysta® is a hybrid material which consists mainly of rice husks. Based on a special process, the rice husks are connected homogeneously in a polymer matrix, thereby achieving their high material resistance and the wood-like look an feel.

Resysta® has high quality demands and therefore only supplies items to licensed production companies that have the appropriate technical facilities and equipment at their disposal.

The main advantage lies in the long period of weather resistance. Resysta does not rot and still retains its original strengh even after decades. Moreover, Resysta can be varnished and painted in all colours and therefore offers the option of colouring in a variety of ways. Resysta also has a unique look and feel.

Enviroment / Recycling

Resysta® meets all enviromental standards and is free of harmful emission substances. Regular testing in accordance with the REACH criteria can prove this.

During production, high enviromental standards are adhere to, so that no toxic waste substances whatsoever are produced.

As a matter of principle, all Resysta products can be broken down and reused. If it was produced as a composite material, the ability to separate it into different materials has to be checked.

Resysta® products can be returned to the dealer or manufacturer or disposed of the waste as prescribed by law.

Attention: Do not burn the material! In case of fire, harmful chlorine gases and other degradation products may be released. Not suitable for independet architectural structures. Please observe the assembly instruction.

Please make sure there is sufficient ventilation for the material during storage. Do not store the material wrapped in plastic foil to avoid mould stains. Do not treat it with strong (e.g. acidic or chlorinated) cleaning agents. Such may damage the surface of the material. For the desing with colours, please onla use Resysta glazes and sealers to obtain an optimum colour result and avoid discoloration.

Decking

It is necessary to fix the floorboards firmly to the substructure in order to avoid unwanted deformations of the material.

Yes. Resysta is subject to temperature-dependent thermal expansion. At an installation temperature of 20°C, for example, a distance of 1,5 mm has to be planned for each metre of length. Please refer to the installation instructions.

Since Resysta does not expand as a result of water absoption - and because of the small width of the floorboard (140/200 mm) - avery small gap is sufficient for the water to drain off. This is determined by the invisible screw connection.

Other substructures can also be used. However, the important factor is the general suitability with respect to durability and dimensional stability.

Yes. The distance depends on the width of the substructures and the clips used. The "centre-to-centre distance" of the bearing surface of the substructure may not be less than 40 cm. The clips should be fixed as centrally as possible to the substructure. Excessive distances lead to increase instability of the floorboards. Please refer to the installation instructions.

You should use screws which are suitable for outdoors. We recommend stainless steel screws and also offer these for sale.

Yes, this is possible without any problems. However, in this case the Resysta floorboard has to be pre-drilled. You should be careful to choose screws with a flat or lenticular head.

Yes. There should be no large protruding lengths. Please also refer to the installation instructions.

Yes, this is possible without any problems. Please note the corresponding installation instructions

Resysta guarantees that our material will not tear, splinter, rot or swell within 15 years.

There is no building inspectorate approval. The relevant building regulations have to be observed in this respect. Individual authorisations are possible.

A light surface heats up less than a dark surface. The difference in temperature can be up to 10°C.

Resysta requires no surface treatment in the sense of „wood preservation“. For optical reasons, Resysta can be treated with a glaze in order to change the hue of the material as desired. Treatment with 2C protective paint also offers protection

against staining.

Yes. The paint is water-based and can simply be applied. Before application, the paint should be stirred well to mix the pigments evenly. The profiles should be painted in the longitudinal direction with a large brush. If too much paint is applied, rub once more in one pass in the longitudinal direction. Please refer to the respective installation instruction.

The floorboard is always delivered untreated and is therefore suitable for all colours. This gives you the flexibility to design your Resysta product even at short notice to your liking or match it to the colours of other products.

The glaze should not be applied when it is raining or there is a prospect of rain. In direct sunlight the glaze dries faster. Before you start applying the sealer, the glaze must be completely dry.

Yes. Both the glaze and the 2C protective paint are tailored to Resysta products. Please ensure that you use only original Resysta surface materials.

Yes. Resysta can also soil. This depends on the degree of utilization and its location

Different types of soiling require different treatments. In general, however, most forms of soiling can be easily removed with water, a brush and with the help of our surface cleaner.

For example, if wine is spilled on the terrace floor, you should remove the stains immediately and rinse thoroughly with water.

Yes. Resysta is completely water- and chlorine-resistant and therefor particularly suitable for this application.

Yes, you can sand off the old coat of paint at any time. After a short cleaning process, the new glaze can be applied as usual.

The Resysta glaze is not a wood paint that is affected by weather after some time. Therefore, the surface does not have to be constantly repainted, as is common practice in the case of wood. With mechanically used surfaces, however, the paint/glaze film does wear away over time – similar to a varnished parquet surface - and has to be refreshed. The time intervals are dependent on the levels of mechanical use.

Fences

Exact details are described in the respective assembly instructions for the different fence systems and should be complied with.

As a rule, the installation is also possible without a specialist, as standard levels of craftsmanship are sufficient. For heavy parts, however, it is advisable to carry out the installation with two people. Please refer to the installation instructions.

The fence systems have been tested against wind loads and designed accordingly.

The usual material-induced thermal expansions can occur. For this purpose, the distance between the fence picket and post should be selected in accordance with the installation instructions.

Resysta is resistant to soft-rot fungi and can be installed directly in the ground.

Direct contact with the ground does not affect Resysta and causes no damage. However, soiling of the material is to be expected.

Yes, this significantly reduces soiling and maintenance costs.

Facade

The attachment options depend on the type of profile. They are described in the corresponding installation instructions.

Yes, Resysta needs rear ventilation. The general guidelines for the installation of a rear-ventilated façade have to be taken into account for Resysta.

The treatment with glaze and sealer provides long-lasting protection against soiling and water stains. As a result, the façade retains the original colour for many years.

Above all, the Resysta facade offers a long service life, a long-lasting fading resistance and easy maintenance.

We recommend our special Resysta surface cleaner RSC. This is a cleaning concentrate which is added to the wiping water used for normal cleaning/care. For stubborn stains and soiling, this cleaner can also be applied as a concentrate.
